A university project exercise of type, branding, and logo design. The brief was to create a new look and feel of a corporate organisation. Wanting to do something hospitality/travel based, I decided on the Hilton and its Midtown property. The typefaces were chosen based upon how they not only match with the identity of the brand, but also the property’s Midtown Manhattan location. I wanted the work to inspire that timeless New York City feeling, whilst also being modern and flexible enough to be reused across multiple formats.
